He asks for DJ’s and song suggestions. My guess as to why I like it so much is that you want to hear what music is important to the listeners. I’m having a hard time turning it off.
This is great.
What can possibly go wrong?
I guess it could go terribly wrong but we’ll see. In one of the comments he mentions that he’s paying for the songs out of pocket so it’s honest radio play.
Does he have “a walk in the Black Forest”?
“a walk in the Black Forest”
I’m pretty sure he has access to everything. Here’s the link: https://radiolemmy.com/ and scroll down to request it. In the meantime, here’s the youtube version. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q1ktk1Nrilc
Goodie!
RIP Tim
Sadly, it went wrong.
Regards
Head presenter.

The strength of the federated world will be whether a stream can be best managed through a torture of joins, parts, proxies and handoffs. Then we do it for tv. Start with public access junk, as the free stuff is still better than Reality TV. Show ads if it’s feasible and free for viewers then and some money gets back to creators, but allow patrons above a certain amount to avoid the ads by just offsetting the same hosting/kickback cost directly.
I’m not sure I understand what you’re saying. Are you saying to take the fediverse to all media or maybe it’s heading that way?
!radiolemmy@lemm.ee for the related community
Thanks for posting, I’m excited about this!
Huh! That’s actually super neat. I never listen to radio anymore but I’ll definitely be coming back to this.
I’m excited to see this on my frontpage this morning because I used to listen to a community driven station from a game I used to play and it was legit one of my favorite ways to discover new music. That radio station shut down a few years ago but previous to that Radio KoL(Kingdom of Loathing) had been running for over a decade.
Here’s hoping this is the replacement!
Same, but it was for AnarchyOnline. They did giveaways and hosted in game dance parties and stuff. Was the absolute tits to 15yr old me.
Lemmy is growing. It’s nice to see
Here comes ASCAP.
looks like its offline again 2 weeks later
It wasn’t offline when I checked, you must have hit maintenance.
