The governor’s office under Cuomo knew about his conduct but failed to effectively stop it, the DOJ concluded from the investigation it launched in August 2021, the same month Cuomo resigned amid mounting sexual harassment allegations.

Cuomo’s office instead worked to protect the then-governor from further accusations — and his senior staff retaliated against four of the women he harassed, the DOJ said.

    So…

We still need to fix the system that enabled him

The vast majority are likely still active in politics.

We can’t ignore this type of systemic abuse just because they have the correct letter by their name.

Hochul in a statement said that when she took office, she “took immediate action” to “root out the culture of harassment that had previously plagued the Executive Chamber and implement strong policies to promote a safe workplace for all employees.”

“I am pleased that the U.S. Department of Justice has acknowledged the significance of those efforts, and look forward to partnering with them as we continue to build upon that success,” Hochul said.

Former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo subjected at least 13 women to a “sexually hostile work environment” while he was in office, the Department of Justice said Friday as part of an agreement with the state’s current executive office.

You think the DOJ released this today because trumps verdict came out again?

Like, they had this on hold till trumps verdict and we’re just waiting?

If someone with a D does this shit, fuck them.

Stop acting like a Republican and ignoring anything someone does because of the letter by their name.

Cuomo is a giant piece of shit, and we can’t ignore it because it makes democrats slightly more comparable to Republicans.

The correct response, is kicking people like this out of the group and holding them accountable legally and socially.

Not bitching about how this literally shows that not all Democrats are perfect

Or maybe the former governor of NY abused his power to sexually harass 13 women and more people should know about it? Why are you choosing to defend a predator?

The difference between the left and right are the right thing Cuomo should be in jail and the left think Cuomo AND Trump should be in jail.

You know if “they” waited for Trump not to be having some legal issue before reporting any politician having one there would be nothing to report.

Cuomo did bad shit and it is the obligation of the media to inform the public of said bad shit. This is only both sides to the extent that the rules should apply to both sides. So here we are and that is where we should be. Holding the powerful accountable.

Cuomo and Trump are the same side: corrupt New York businessmen with political influence and 90% the same opinions on things that meaningfully matter.
