I vote for Debian sid (the “rolling” version of Debian). I use it and it’s great.

By “lack of developer freedom”, do you mean “lack of ability to take the freedom you got with the code away from the next person?”
Because that’s the primary restriction with the GPL.
Oh wow the bot isn’t telling people what to think anymore.
No US-centric left-right scale, no “accuracy” rating decided by the guy who runs it, etc, etc.
Very nice. This bot should shut up more often.
Zuck: Yeah so if you ever need info about anyone at Harvard
Zuck: Just ask.
Zuck: I have over 4,000 emails, pictures, addresses, SNS
[Redacted Friend’s Name]: What? How’d you manage that one?
Zuck: People just submitted it.
Zuck: I don’t know why.
Zuck: They “trust me”
Zuck: Dumb fucks
So the only ones who could actually go after them to force anything are the ones who originally wrote that GPL code
Not necessarily, the SFC is involved in a big case regarding Vizio about this right now. The FSF was brought in to explain the intended interpretation and spirit of the GPL.
They have a history of blocking oil terminals. All it achieves is much less media coverage and a quick stop to it.
Hmmm, you complain, but yet you participate in society. Curious!
You mean like when they blockaded oil terminals and it got not nearly as much attention as this and got them swiftly whisked away?
The part where it’s action targeting the oil companies? You know, like you were suggesting they do?
It’s not hard to look up.

Took 2 seconds.
They literally DID. The fact you don’t know about it shows why they also do their publicity stunts.
Yeah, media bias fact check, totally not based on some guys political opinions…
Lemmy.zip is on 0.19.5
Ah okay
Enumerating every user to get the vote count on every single post/comment seems too computationally expensive.
Because then people can vote an unlimited number of times.
There needs to be some sort of identifier
Ayyyyy
No it’s the person who owns the source.
A pro-Israel American iirc.
For one, it bases it’s bias assessments on American politics. The UK is less right-wing than the US but when this bot comes along it calls a source which we might call centrist, “left”.
In a way, it’s like an attempt to shift the overton window for other countries closer to the US, and that’s not a good thing.
Of course, don’t expect this to be addressed by @Rooki@lemmy.world.
Trivia quiz: which allied power was responsible for delivering the final blow to Nazi Germany? Hint: it wasn’t the US.
You’re delusional if you think America is responsible for “saving Europe” or whatever other fantasy you have dreamed up.
