Just because the charges dismissed against somebody doesn’t mean the internal investigations didn’t make it clear they’d be better off without his influence, and it also doesn’t mean the person is innocent of being deeply toxic and likely to run into issues again, it just means a prosecutor wasn’t willing to risk anything other than a clear win as so often happens with these types of cases.
