Its not the 19th century anymore. Iodine deficiency is not a serious concern in most civilized countries. Most people can get enough iodine from their diets from dairy/eggs/fish/legumes.

You don’t need iodized salt, go ahead and use fancy salt. If you’re really concerned, take a multivitamin every now and then.

          Wtf?

          Google “sea salt iodine”

I buy providing sources for esoteric or new information, but this has been known since probably the 1800s.

I did and while your claim is true, sea salt does contain iodine, the amount is much, much lower than salt with added iodine. The numbers I found said that sea salt contains 0.1 to 2mg iodine per kilogram. While salt with added iodine contains 15 to 25mg/kg. And there are scientists saying that’s not enough.

Yep, it’s not a huge dose, and there are debates as to whether it’s enough etc….

              But the fact still stands.

Why the fuck are you telling me to Google shit when you made the claim and the burden of proof lies with you?

In the 1970’s schools were in the golden age of societal changes, including teaching desegregation, climate change, incorporating bilingual education, plate tectonics, genetics, and cool space shit that the Hubble telescope in low earth orbit captured.

Modern schools have now degenerated to remove thought provoking books, accept fringe crazy religious bullshit, remove inclusion and equity lessons, spread bad science and hypothesis as fact, etc.

Don’t come at us saying this shit; your generation was elevated and now you get to witness the collapse of education with your own eyes while you did nothing to help.

I’m asking for people to consistently support their arguments on the internet with fucking sources so we can read it and improve our knowledge since schools stopped doing this shit thanks to your generation removing the good shit you took for granted just so they could pocket that money instead of improving the system.

We live near the sea, eat plenty of seafood, and iodized salt tastes nasty.
