xQc came and totally wiped us out. We have a lot of work in front of us and we are a bit too small a team to hold this space if someone decides to take it from us. I think the fleeting nature is actually kind of what makes it great. Run it once a year for a week. Not sure how you’d accomplish something similar with the fediverse though. Someone would try to run it off-site without the community as a whole getting on board and then you end up with like 8 people participating.
