There are already plenty of tutorials on React. And besides, I don’t see why I have to learn React in 2023, apart from maintaining old apps, which is quite unfortunate.
When there’s such a huge learning curve - first you have to understand the basic React stuff, then a third party library to fetch stuff, and then another third-party library to scope CSS, and manage states, your new app should not be using React in the first place.
Svelte has fixed almost all of that, to the point that you don’t need any dependencies, plus you need to use only vanilla JS.
I don’t know much about SolidJS, but I think it has also fixed the
useEffect()hook in a crafty way, while having a similar syntax to React.There’s also Lit, which uses web components, which is pretty neat. Again, not an expert on Lit, but I’d consider using over React any time.
