In the screenshot I’ve included, you can see that the number of comments for the post is 20+. However, I only see 2 comments when I look at the post.
Is this just a byproduct of federation? I don’t think I’ve blocked any instances yet, but is it possible the comments are from instances blocked my lemmy.world? Also, I use Memmy on iOS; could that be the cause?

Try using the web-ui on a browser. I’ve been using browser for Lemmy and I never had any issues.
Edit: I just checked the post via your instance (lemmy.world) using web-ui I see all comments.
So I’ll conclude that your app must be having issues.Edit 2: After some experimenting. It seems if you only checked “Undetermined” but not “English”, most English comments will not show up. Please go to settings and check both “Undetermined” and “English” (and any other language you want to see).
Just did this and your comment appeared in my notifications only after doing so! Looks like I’m good now. 😎
