India’s BJP, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and affiliated Hindu nationalist groups have perfected using social media to spread of inflammatory, often false and bigoted material on an industrial scale, earning both envy and condemnation beyond India’s borders.
They’d deployed a 1,50,000 strong SM army for propaganda & fake news before a State Assembly Election. Imagine the extent of resources that’s going to be mobilised for the nation-wide Lok Sabha election.
How does one counter fake news on such an industrial scale?
God help the people of India. (I’m atheist) When people like Modi get their hands on the reigns, the only path is to destruction.
