Make it easy on yourself, use Buycott and your phone’s camera to scan UPC labels, and it will instantly tell you if that’s a brand you choose to avoid.

You can configure Buycott according to your tastes and ideals (called campaigns).

I am not affiliated, just a long time user.

Have you considered spreading these posts out? One or two a day would do wonders for the community’s growth.

Pleased to see that I consume none of these products. Some because I knew they were owned by Nestle.

None? Did you read the fine print? There are so many names on there, how would you even check this?

I thought I was finally free from Nestle products at home. A few months ago I switched from Tidy Cat litter sand to another, non-Purina/Nestle brand and my cats took the transition well.
Then just a couple of weeks ago I noticed the sneaky bastards also own Merrick cat food. The final can in storage was opened today, I have another brand ready from today onward, let’s see how the guys take it.

Do they own the CPK restaurants, or just the frozen aisle pizza brand?

Edit — looks like they just make and sell the frozen pizzas. Wikipedia says the restaurant chain is owned by Golden Gate Capital LP.

I’m kinda surprised how few of these are things I buy at all. Even the ones I do are rare picks.

With one exception, and fuck anyone that doesn’t like it. Hagen daz is the best ice cream I can get in my area, and I’ll fucking kill a pint on my birthday once a year.

The rest, I can’t find a single one we’ll buy for our home. They’re stuff that only get picked up when vending machines are the only available source of something. I used to love me some nesquik though. If they sold the brand (yeah, right lol), I’d maybe grab a container or two a year.

It isn’t like I keep a list and avoid all of their stuff, it’s just happenstance that the things listed usually suck compared to other options
