The whole office had gathered for a meeting and I joined the meeting virtually as I am recovering from a cold. I have anxiety issues and was already feeling nervous, on top of that I feel like breaking into a coughing fit , which made me even more nervous and I blanked out twice during my speech. I paused for 10-15 secs twice to collect myself. Now I feel like shit and I want to bury myself into the ground and never come out.

This is not the first time it’s happening. I always tend to blank out when giving a presentation esp if I am presenting to a larger crowd or if the crowd has many strangers. I do alright in smaller circles and with known faces. I want to know if this is me being incompetent or I have some deeper issues that needs to be addressed. Do you think some medication will help me to overcome this issue.

PS: English is not my first language. I work in London and 80 percent of my colleagues are Brits
