My device, Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G, is currently running on Android 14 (PixelOS). There’s unlimited Google Photos backup. I have turned on device folder backups. While Google Photos app provides an option to delete all the photos in default camera folder which have been uploaded, there’s no such option for device folders like WhatsApp images, WhatsApp videos, etc. I have to go to each photo within Google photos’ WhatsApp folder and check if it’s uploaded or not and then delete them. Is there any easier way?

    Are they actually backed up?
I don’t use google photos anymore but I remember just clicking a “free space” button somewhere and it deleted photos from all folders which I had marked to sync.

I wish to upload all the photos outside DCIM too and then delete them from device in one go like it deletes DCIM’s content.

Consider backing up in NextCloud, instead of sending your private pictures to a spy-ware giant who will sell it to the best bidder :P

If the product is free, but not open source, then you('r data) is likely the product to be sold / made money upon.
