Hi everyone, Dedicated to those looking for an Android client to listen to their music from a Subsonic server, here is Tempo.

You can find it on Github ready for download with the November update: it’s free, it’s open source and it’s made by the community for the community.

If you appreciate the work put into Tempo, remember that you can star the project on Github! It’s not much but it’s useful to help the project grow and give visibility to the app.

This looks great! I’ve been using Dsub for ages because it supports streaming via DLNA to my Hifiberry device. I’d love to find a 100% FLOSS app that also has this feature.

Hate to be that guy shilling for other projects but if you’re in the market, Symfonium is also worth looking at. Hands down one of the best subsonic (among other things) compatible clients available for Android, updated very frequently with a developer who’s very responsive.

Recently started using Tempo with Navidrome. Haven’t had more than a few days of use yet, but everything has worked exactly as expected! Can’t ask for much more than that.

I have investigated many, many subsonic compatible apps for one as full featured as DSub. Tempo looks great, but does it have Chromecast and Android Auto clients? Those are both necessities for me.

The fact that DSub has all of these and hasn’t really been in active development for years speaks volumes about its quality.

I will keep a close eye on Tempo, though!
