I had a feeling they’ll put something like this, so I went in every now and then to see how infinity will react. I really loved the app, devs did an amazing job

The announcement is missing mentioning that any content tagged aw NSFW will not be accessible from their app. This was one of the biggest points that made the API changes impracticable for app devs, charging a very significant amount of money for a reduced experience .

I’m just slowly moving over what I find important to Lemmy and manually scrambling and deleting old posts. I think this is the only solution now - they can’t take my content and remove my methods of creating and managing it.

It’ll take ~6 months, but I think by then I’ll have a ripped up 14+ years of Reddit.

Missed opportunity. These third-party apps could have updated on 1 July to support Lemmy only. Instead, they wish to continue the abusive relationship with Reddit while making believe that it’s the only option.

Re-writing the app to support a different site isn’t a small undertaking, so I don’t blame devs if that isn’t on their immediate roadmap.

Some devs, such as those of Sync and RIF have already said apps for other sites are in development, too. Sync for Lemmy and RIF for Tildes.

Then there are new apps entirely that will arrive built for the new sites. Jerboa is great already, even with the extremely short time it’s had to be developed in.

Yeah, I use Jerboa, it’s been great.

For those developers who remain committed to Reddit only, competing against the house isn’t viable, you can’t win. The rules will change again.

This is my first time seeing a same day repost on lemmy. I’m surprised it took this long, lol
