Why don’t we just ship conservatives to Russia instead? Daddy Puta needs you for the invasion you so ardently support. Plus, you would get to show off how cool you all look in your awesome new battle gear.

Conservatives being removed from the U.S. would do more to help the U.S. than any other single thing we could do for ourselves. If you are a conservative and genuinely care about the U.S., do your part. Enlist in Russia today!

I hope you don’t actually believe that. Not because it makes a practical difference, but because anyone that dumb probably already has 4 kids, which would be a tragedy all to itself.

Meanwhile, Biden has just bypassed congress to send more money to Israel to help them with their genocide.

What the fuck is Biden doing? Israel is rich. They don’t need any money from us at all. If we needed any reminder that neoliberals are conservatives, this is it.

Can European countries come together to fill this void? They are in peril if Ukraine falls to Russia.

      I also don’t understand this.

Even if somebody is pro-Israel, come on: they have a powerful military, a working economy, and some nukes for back-up. Let them sort their own fucking shit out.

No. He allowed Israel to buy weapons. Nobody likes it but giving weapons for free is completely different than allowing someone to buy weapons.

On a normal year, we give Israel $4 Billion. That’s in a normal year, without a genocide to support. That’s not a loan. It’s a gift. Year after year.

Whose money do you suppose is being used to “buy” our weapons? Is that really what you would call a “purchase”?

In nearly every European election since this year, the local Russia-controlled parties have taken over government (if they weren’t the government already, like in Hungary). This will continue next year, especially in the EU parliament. I wouldn’t hold my breath that any help will come from Europe any time soon.

    Jeez that’s depressing.

“We should be controlling our sector from 4km away, so we can kill a few hundred Russian soldiers before they get to our infantry, and we only take a few wounded,” he told the newspaper, adding: “But without ammunition, we can’t.”

The Pentagon should just send the ammunition. Who’s going to stop them? Oh no, the Republicans will sue to have it stopped. Who’s going to enforce the order? Stop fucking around with these traitors.

Edit: Better yet, how about an Executive Order? Something like, “The Russian war of aggression against Ukraine, being a direct threat to the security of our NATO allies and our National Security, I declare that any military, intelligence, and humanitarian resources, whether initially allocated for other purposes or not, may be diverted to aid Ukraine.”

Then Congress can feel free to pass aid to Israel and it can just be diverted.

Ukraine isn’t as profitable as Israel genocoding native Palestinians after all.

Capitalism just follows the money; the justifications and lies the US makes for war are always just excuses to profit the ruling class of capitalist corporations.

I wonder how long it’ll be before people finally realize the US political/economic system is completely broken and needs to be rebuilt from scratch.

Anadolu Agency (aa.com.tr) is rated as having a right bias and mixed factual reporting. This Turkish news agency is known for its strong pro-government state bias and is controlled by the right-wing ruling party in Turkey. It has been criticized for poor sourcing and sometimes utilizing emotionally loaded language in its reporting. Due to these factors, it holds a medium credibility rating [❞].

Obviously the ruling class profit from war, but US support of Israel seems to me more about empire than profit. We need allies to justify, enable and support our military presence in this vital region.

Not everything we do is because our society is controlled by greedy bloodsucking parasites. Sometimes we’re just trying to maintain our brutal imperial dominance.

We need allies to justify, enable and support our military presence in this vital region.

…which is for profit from the oil and other materials in the region. War also lets them divert more of their resources into the military industrial complex. In that sense, the trillions of dollars used in the military during the Afganistan war was a net positive for the military corporations too; human lives be damned.

It all boils down to profit under capitalism.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

“When it’s two or three soldiers, I’m not shooting any more; only when it’s a critical situation, say, ten guys close to our infantry, we will work,” Sergeant Taras “Fizruk” told the newspaper.

The lack of shells, Fizruk said, has hampered his unit’s control over the northern flank of Avdviivka in eastern Ukraine and their ability to shoot at Russian troops.

And Western supplies are now at the “bottom of the barrel,” Admiral Rob Bauer of the Netherlands, who chairs NATO’s Military Committee, said at a Warsaw Security Forum meeting in October.

The issue has been compounded by Republicans in Congress, who are threatening to withhold crucial aid to Ukraine, including ammunition, a defining element in frontline combat.

Newly committed aid to Ukraine reached a “new low” between August and October, with a 90% drop compared to the same period in 2022, according to a report compiled by the Kiel Institute for the World Economy.

Despite having German Leopard 2 tanks and American Bradley M1 fighting vehicles, Fizruk told The Times of London that his unit couldn’t break through Russia’s defensive lines without artillery shells.

The original article contains 555 words, the summary contains 185 words. Saved 67%. I’m a bot and I’m open source!

They’ve been convinced that funneling as much money to the MIC can win the war in Ukraine even if they don’t have foreign military troops on the ground helping them.

In their minds, it’s literally impossible to lose as long as US taxpayers spend as much money as possible on weapons.

It’ll be funny when they all mysteriously disappear if Ukraine loses, never to admit they were wrong and it’s possible US taxpayers just wasted a bunch of money on a sunk-cost fallacy.
