Why is chocolate bad for all animals except humans?

It’s based on a dosage which is based on the mass. You’re heavier and therefore have more mass so the amount of drugs that affects your body will actually be less when you “dissolve” it inside of you. In order for you to overdose on chocolate you would need to have an equivalence of dosage which is around 700 chocolate bars. Pets are smaller and have less mass so the affect chocolate will have on them is more significant. Chocolate is still technically toxic were just too heavy for it to affect us in the same way.

Plants’ main objective is to make baby plants. Some, like cacao, peppers, coffee beans, have opted to be bad for some/most animals so they don’t get eaten. Turns out that humans are pretty metal and like chocolate, capsaicin (the spicy compound in peppers), and caffeine.
