Police are investigating a virtual sexual assault of a girl’s avatar, the chair of the Association of Police and Crime Commissioners has said.

Donna Jones said she had learned that a complaint was made in 2023, triggering a police inquiry.

    I think that is a natural extension of portrayals of murder being common throughout most media in one genre or another, but sexual assault is rarely directly described in any media.

    My assumption there would be that far more people survive sexual assault than survive murder (🫠), so it’s a more sensitive topic overall as it directly affects consumers more?

    Edit: I’d imagine that extends to harassment as well, having re-read your message after posting, though less severe than full on assault
