About one in every 100 people in Gaza has been killed since the war between Israel and Hamas erupted on October 7, according to Palestinian statistics.
I would say that that living in a dictatorship lead by a terrorist group skews the status of how educated the people are.
My country was a socialist state some time ago. However, we had significantly more scientists than we have now and our education was significantly better compared to today. And many of those scientists actually believed in the idea of communism.
So whilst they may be smart people and may have a good critical thinking, living in such an area can skew their perception of the reality. And it definitely is not their fault. If I were a 24 years old man living in Gaza, I would probably be in a similar position.
These are just my thoughts and unfortunately we cannot verify/claim them wrong in a humane way…
