correct me if i’m wrong, but should the system really take up that much space? and is there any way for me to debloat it or cut it down in some way? thank you all for the help, my phone is a Galaxy A10e

    It’s not only bloat. From what I remember I think it’s also swap space, probably also some space for caching and some other things. E.g. I have 42GB of system space out of 256 on my Galaxy S21, and it’s definitely not all bloat apps.

    There’s also two copies of the system partition so you can reboot into an upgrade (or revert back from one). So that’s half the space.

    I have a Samsung a53 5G, and the system storage on my phone is 26.34 GB. I didn’t even realize until I just now looked that it was taking up that much space.

    That’s classic Samsung filling it with bloat. However I’m on a Xioami phone atm and its even worse at 11.5 gb atm…

      the constant struggle just to use an android :( sucks because i bought mine to double as a media player, but due to the sheer bloat that the system takes up, i hardly have any space left

        Yeah it’s not exactly true advertising the storage they are. They really should be subtracting the space needed for the system and advertise that as the “true” storage or whatever…
