The Tulsa Police Department launched a homicide investigation after finding the remains of Cassidy Ritchie, a 39-year-old mother reported missing by her family, in the back of her vehicle. Ritchie had been involved in a domestic dispute before vanishing on January 20th. Her car was found stuck in a ditch between January 21st and 23rd. Upon searching the vehicle, police discovered Ritchie’s body buried under clothes. Her husband, Chris Morland, who she had been married to for less than a month in a tumultuous relationship, is a person of interest and was alone at their home during the time she went missing. He was later arrested on unrelated warrants in Texas, adding complexity to the unfolding investigation.
