Husband loves to make sushi for dinner for special occasions
Replying to comments is erroring out for me but he’s been doing this for a over a year.
Prep was over an hour but making the rolls was about 30 to 40 minutes. He very meticulous about the whole process. He’s half Japanese and his mother is loving special weekend dinners at our house.
The white fish there is yellowtail!
“wow it looks like actual sushi!”
Quote from friends after my partner and I put together a big sushi dinner. Yours looks amazing and also like real sushi :)
What a mighty good man.
Killing me. Between this and trying some David the Diver. I need some sushi - now
I think I remember you from another site I used to visit, wonderful to see you here, sushi looks beautiful!
Pardon the overly curious question, but how much did that cost you? It looks stunning but I can’t help but wonder how many legs I’d have to sell to make something like that haha
He usually buys the fish wholesale. Per meal its cheaper than us going out to the nearest sushi spot…and so much better!
How does one buy fish wholesale? Do you need to have a chest freezer?
He goes to a restaurant supply market to get fish or if he’s in the area he’ll just go to this Asian market. 1 yellowtail will last nearly 3 days with 3 to 4 of us.

Looks amazing. I thought it was a restaurant order before reading the title.
Looks amazing. How long have you been making sushi?
That’s a great spread, I’d eat it. Nice job!
That is so well organized and done.
Yummo!
Very nice! Does he slice the fish himself?
He does! He buys the sushi grade whole fish wholesale.
What’s the special occasion? Hopefully really good news!
are you guys adopting?
