      A nomination is meaningless, it’s not at all the same thing as receiving the award. There are 351 nominees this year, and the requirements for being nominated are almost non-existent. Even an associate professor at any college can nominate whoever they want. The one and only criteria for nomination is that a person with recognized credentials submitted the nomination. That’s literally it.
