Takeshi Ebisawa, 60, allegedly tried to sell material he believed would go to Iran to build a nuclear bomb.
The most recent Yakuza game involves giving nuclear materials to other countries.
Kudos to the BBC stock photos department. The title photo in this article is unironically on-brand.
The editor must have been like: “We need a photo of a specific Yakuza crime boss to use in an article about weapons trafficking.” The BBC photos guy goes: “Sure thing! I got one of him grinning while holding a rocket launcher.” Just perfect.
I don’t get these kinds of folks
“Hello hostile government that wants to point a gun at the bloc I live in! Have some bullets!”
Oh no, please don’t tell me we’re in the Cyberpunk 2077 timeline
we are in the cyberpunk 2024 timeline
I am surprised a Yakuza would be willing to sell nuclear material to Iran, they usually are smarter than that.

It doesn’t sound like he was in the USA for any of this so wtf
So does this confirm that Iran is trying to build a nuclear bomb? Because before they were trying to be ambiguous with whether or not they were.
