Hi all. I need some advice.

Right now I have Nextcloud running in a docker, on a virtual machine that is running in ProxMox. Intel i3 6100T processor. And I am very unhappy with the performance. I use NC as a replacement for Google Photo. Viewing photos in the gallery is agony. Especially when you have to scroll down a large number of photos. The CPU load reaches 100% and everything hangs for a long time. In addition - it also affects the performance of other virtual machines. I have done optimization, according to the instructions found on the Internet (reduced the size of thumbnails, caching them with addon), it got better, but still bad.

Now I am wondering how to improve the situation.

I have another PC with a different i5 6400T CPU. The OMV is running there. Does it make sense to try to run NC in the docker there, will there be a noticeable performance boost due to the more powerful CPU?

Or maybe install Nextcloud as a separate virtual machine or proxmox container? I have a 500GB SSD on the proxmox server for virtual machines, I think I can allocate 250-300GB for Nexcloud storage if the SSD would improve the overall situation.

I also plan to swap out the processors since the i3 will be enough for OMV.

Happy to consider any suggestions. Thanks
