When you’re finished with a nice meal and your server has been awesome, if you see them start clearing plates, they have a strategy in mind and don’t need your help. It’s okay to mean well, but if you really feel like helping, just stack them logically and let them pick the plate up. Otherwise, just let them handle it.

Source: am a seasoned server and it does more harm than good when I have a plan in mind on how I’m stacking and picking things up and when someone tries to help and hands me some plates it throws off the flow and makes my plan fall apart.
