A Georgia judge on Wednesday said Republican U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump and eight of his co-defendants in the state’s criminal election subversion case could appeal a ruling that let lead prosecutor Fani Willis remain on the case.

Fulton County Judge Scott McAfee’s decision cleared the way for the former U.S. president and the others to ask a Georgia state appeals court to consider whether Willis, the Fulton County district attorney, should be disqualified over her romantic relationship with a former deputy, Nathan Wade.

McAfee indicated he would continue addressing other legal issues while the appeals court considers whether to take up the disqualification bid. A trial date has not yet been set.

If you had the money to find out this happened and the money (or lawyer) to stay on it… You’d get this, too.

That’s why the FA led to this FO.

I want him tried and convicted. This is an easy pass to have a trial after the election, but fill the calendar so others can’t occupy it.

It’s almost better had she not brought charges. Other cases would have a clearer runway.

Sure. And knowing that, you know you are going to have to play this one tight. Very tight to keep it on rails.

Instead, Fani Willis left the trial COMPLETELY open to being derailed by her decision making here.

You need to get your head on right. Fani Willis set this up. Her actions have been inexcusable because of precisely what you are saying and how important this trial was. She has basically cost the people of Georgia their justice for Trump trying to steal their election from them.

You arent a cheerleader and you need to be able to make a clear eyed assessment of whats going on here.

There are NO excuses for this, and its 100% on Fani Willis for setting this up. It her fault that this trial is being derailed.
