back on the Old Site there was r/195 which was somebody’s apartment number and started out with just their friends. then it got popular, was flooded and became hard to moderate; the mods shut it down in what was known as The Experiment. This was the birth of r/196, which thrived before shutting down the second Reddit API shit hit the fan. And so here we are, on Fedi.
But what is it about?
It’s like take a penny leave a penny for shitposts.
The main rule was that if you visited the sub you had to post a meme before you left, (obviously unenforceable) but that’s why all the posts have “rule” in the title. It ended up being a very queer friendly and fairly horny subreddit, somewhat notoriously so lol
Kewl.
Both the original 195 and the new 196 share a rule
“You must post before you leave”
New here too but wym he just said apartment number was 195, new subreddit became 196
Good question! We get asked this a lot. Hope this helps!
Thank you for asking. I too, had no idea and was too afraid to ask.
I feel like Reddit really suppressed my curiosity to post questions like this because they’d either get downvoted to hell, get shite responses, or just taken down.
Yeah, curse you for not reading the sidebar or using the shite search to find your answer.
You should crosspost this to OutOfTheLoop.
How?
If you’re on the website, this is the crosspost button.
Oh, got it. But what about the app?
As far as I’m aware, no apps have this feature yet unfortunately
No clue, sorry.
