Reddit refugee (joined there in 2011, but was not part of Digg before that). IT leader in corp land, but lurker on the internet. I’ll try to talk more on kbin than I did on reddit.

Very disappointed to see my employer on here with a D rating. Internal comms said we were out!
They are “inviting” mods to do even more free work in furtherance of Reddits profitability

As humans we are biased towards action and forward thinking. From the perspective of where you are heading after completing the turn, it was a U shaped turn
I consider myself so lucky to have been 10 and had this game when it was brand new. It was perfect.
Probably my favorite and most played Mario game of all time. Now I see why they never released it on Virtual Console… this is even better. Can’t wait to play it with my daughters who love the Mario franchise!
Thank you for the Time Machine moment! I just went back to single digit age for a minute. I’ve seen this commercial so many times (but not for 30 years) I must have had it on some VCR recorded movie that I watched on repeat as a kid. Probably that hulk hogan kids movie with the laser gun!
@Kellamity I haven’t played the newest ones (I game on a bootcamped MacBook Pro). But I read good things about Legend and Underworld so I got each of those for .99 cents. I already had anniversary from a previous sale and playing that first. It’s like Legend of Zelda but with ass and titties and guns.
“i can’t wait for grassroots decentralization of the internet, including video” 🍻
Deleting the subreddits would be an easily reversible action for admins. Users will need to edit over comments to actually make a change that wouldn’t easily be reverted. Idk, maybe it could be. It would have to be a lot more users too.
Aside from the adjustment to not having centralizated single points of entry for popular topics, and the early growing pains being experienced right now… what’s not to like about federation? Isn’t that what ensures we won’t fall into the same trap down the road where user/moderator benefit is deprioritized for the sake of commercialization?
