We always try to give stuff that can be used up. Art pads, scratch art, that sort of thing. So we expect things to not stay forever.
Of course we live in a tiny NY apartment and so do our kids friends, so that colors our choices.

Yeah they deal with that in the book series. Lots of AI who do space traffic routing space ships around the beams so as not to get fried.
It’s also used as a weapon in the books to defend the solar system. Fune books. I read em once a year or so.
Space based mirrors for asteroid mining. Bounce a sh*tton of light from the sun around and just melt asteroids. Love that in the Troy Rising series.
Lots of problems getting there irl (need a better way to get out of the gravity well, and light speed lag for command and control would be a real issue) but the idea is just too fun.
Love this one!
Nice, started the repo and will check it out!
Calibre for ebook and digital comics collection, plex for movies/tv/music
Nginx as a reverse proxy in front of those for remote https access.
Yep
You can add an issue on the GitHub page.

I don’t think there is a community specifically for feature requests though.
+1 for this suggestion.
One of the 2.1 ones I think. The exif data should have the model hash/name in it. Assuming lemmy didn’t strip that out or compress the image or something.
If it’s not there ping me on mastodon or pixelfed and I can pull the info in my automatic1111 ping info tab.

Yeah, it took me a bit to figure that one out.
Check if you have ‘show read posts’ unchecked. If that is unchecked ypur posts wont show. Since you made them, technically you have read them, lol
I tend to go in bursts. A week or three of not readimg, then catching up all at once.
Its just one web comic ive really imvested in the characters that is still around. I do still enjoy most of the storylines.
Lemonauts gets my vote :-)

Delightful questions.
My responses:
N-sync, bic, chordless
All time favorite was the feral druid transformations back in the WoW days (Burning Crusade ish I think).
I loved turning into a cat, putting bleeds on some boss, turning into a elf form and popping off a revive/heal, going back to cat to DPS, maybe going bear to pick up and add or two as back up tank. Super fun.
Also flying around in bird form, picking herbs to make potions and just chatting with the guild mates on the headset was very relaxing.
Past that the flying mechanics from City of Heros/Villains were great and I compare any flight mechanics now to those then.
I have https://github.com/oobabooga/text-generation-webui for LMS and https://github.com/lllyasviel/stable-diffusion-webui-forge for stable diffusion models.
They just run on 8g vram so I turn one off to use the other, lol.
Both work well for my needs
