There are lines for grocery stores but it’s mostly because the store itself is throttling the number of people in the store at the same time, gas is non-existent, no cell or Internet connection, many without power or water or both. I don’t know if it’s as bad as Katrina but it is certainly pretty bad and way worse than when the area was hit by multiple hurricanes in the late 2,000s.

Yeah it only being supported on pixel is what made me lose interest too but there is a good reason why it’s specifically pixel phones, it’s one of the only phones that doesn’t have a bootlocker/ you can disable it. Just to make up for the last three years of inflation they would need +16.9% instantly. Assuming +2% inflation over those 4 years (which is the average but not right now) that means from 2020 to 2028 inflation rose 26.3% so if they started a +25% increase over 4 years this year, the workers would have the same spending power they had in 2020.

1.25×40×52= +2,600 per year before taxes, they would hit +10k after 4 years which almost certainly won’t keep up with inflation. So at best they would have equal spending power to when the 4 year period started
We’ve been having this discussion in the group I game/ play TTRPGs with. Like 7 of us total all windows, me and another switched to Linux, a third is a computational scientist who is forced to work with redhat frequently, and a fourth member was thinking of switching. After me and member 2 switched, member 4 saw that we had problems (entirely discord for me, all games have honestly worked so far) and changed his mind about switching because he doesn’t want to deal with stuff not working OOTB.
I can’t fault people who want that, hell I do, Linux is well worth it to me but I will begrudgingly admit there are draw backs to Linux.

I am not a MD or anything but from what I can tell based on the tumor marker described above it sounds like it would work pretty much the same as the covid vaccine? Maybe the proteins build up like plaque and the mRNA just stops the protein production gene expression? Again I do not know a ton about cancer.
I switched to mint 2ish months ago and a friend of mine switched to fedora at the same time. Both new from windows, I have had no issues with mint but he has now switched to Debian cause he was having issues getting discord to work properly.
OOTB experience with mint is it works, it kinda feels like cheating having a distro that works easily without tinkering. Like I don’t feel like a real Linux user haha, but I would 100% recommend it.

I agree with you but other nations is vague. If by other nations you are comparing us to other very developed nations (Ex Europe) I would counter that the US has these issues to a way more extreme degree.
I’m so tired of hearing this about America, we have one of the most diverse countries in the world. I understand the narrative that the media shows the world, the most horrendous of Americans (which are the smallest groups) get a totally disproportionate amount of media time because of their awful actions. A majority of the population tries to be decent human beings, of course bias exists subconsciously and people aren’t aware of it.
I am in the SE region of the US, which everyone loves generalizing as the most ignorant and racist area. I have seen true racist when I was delivering pizzas and my coworkers were black, it was horrendous. I can assure you the racists are a minority and a shrinking one at that. Not only that but it is exceedingly rare that they are under 50 years. Not only both of those things but both millennials and gen Z call out that shit immediately.
It really starts to wear on you when you actively try to fight these things and everyone still only sees your country as full of racists. Yes they exist but it is a shrinking minority.
There is no time to fuck around unfortunately, they are making a smart move 100%. The Dems were pretty close to cannibalizing themselves over the Biden drop out thing. They need to quickly and coherently organize and unify. I’m saying all this and I’m not a big fan of Harris but I am pretty stoked to vote for her compared to my enthusiasm for voting 4 days ago.
