Ignorance has always been a fake excuse for much of what’s wrong with American politics. The reason is usually summed up by a combination of greed and malice, and a system not built to combat those traits.

I’ve got ancient blogs and comments left on ebaumsworld from when the internet and I were still children. Every now and again I like to revisit the site and see the ghosts of the era. It’s probably been 5 or so years since my last visit. It’s a particular feeling for sure.

I didn’t downvote, but the optics are very different on those groups. Jane and John Smith are much more likely to have a terrible experience with local police than federal police. I would like to think they operate under different standards, but I admittedly know very little about how the FBI functions.
