Sidenote: You also have to remember that they have to detain and hold you before diagnosing you, so they may not “force treatment” so much as hold you for 72 hours without any charges against you. Release if no charges, or detain if qualify to be held involuntarily.

Tone matters, like the difference between telling someone they should consider seeing a therapist, and telling someone they need a therapist.

In text it is still hard, but convincing someone to talk to a professional (not saying they are all doctors or something) because you don’t feel equipped to handle the situation on your own shouldn’t be devastating if you go through a small course like that. Never taken one but just off the cuff I’d say offering to call with them and staying for the conversation until you/they agree they feel comfortable carrying on with the help line or what not on their own before walking away would probably be a decent step in the right direction. The line could advise you of the next steps you might not be thinking of in that moment, getting them around other friends/family/bringing them to a medical professional, I’m sure it varies.

I never would have remembered the old number, I believe they changed it to just 988 now. If making it an easy to access more memorable number that we grind into everyone’s brains and saves 1 extra person, it’s worth it. Anyone with half a brain should realize committing fraud against a bank hurts the people who use those banks… and insure those banks, and bail out those banks if they make bad investments, say to someone lying about the worth of their assets to lock in deals that when they are failed to be paid, like all his other bankruptcies filed, the bank is left with far less than anticipated, and then they have to raise fees/decrease interests paid out, charge higher interest rates or simply get a bail out from the Feds. All of those things effect the working class.

I’d say most Americans aren’t Republicans/Democrats, just like most Americans aren’t Christians.

Registering as an independent is a stupid idea in most states, it just means you get less say in the government that rules you. So many people register just because they would rather have the ability to say, “nah not that person” in the primaries.

As for the religion part, if Americans got taxed annually like they do in other countries and had to pay the church out of their incomes or check a box that says they aren’t religious, the number of religious people listed would drop by a fuck ton. Not a single person I know would pay 4% or something to their church, many would lie and say they do, but they would take the money every time. Especially when they realized everyone else was doing it, so poof they no longer would feel bad about doing it.

I would bet we would drop to 25% after 2 years, 10% after 5, and 3% after 10, which is where it would stay. Especially if donations to church’s didn’t grant tax deductions, which they shouldnt be.

Yeah Walmart is a reseller. They will only sell products that will make them money in some manner. As far as I know the Chocolate is made in Peru, and the original recipe was more like you likely wanted, but a lot of people in the U.S. don’t like chocolate that isn’t as sweet. They changed from “good” chocolate to chocolate more people like in the states, and that’s all know really. Other than I wish the crunch bar had more crunch, but the chocolate part of the crunch bar is better in my opinion.
