Nope. Had the latest mesa drivers I could get and it still didn’t work.

I ran into this exact same problem and spent a painfully long week trying to fix it. Unfortunately I couldn’t… My only solution was to switch distros and the problem disappeared. I went with Fedora and now every game works like a dream. I still don’t know what the issue was but it seems to be something to do with having an AMD system and using steam on Ubuntu.
Probably not the solution you’re looking for, but it is a solution!

I have a 7900 xtx. I’m such a noob at this. What actually is the Rocm?
I think it’s the best replacement for Twitter if you’re someone trying to build an audience or if you want to be one of the audience. I’ve realized that I’m not either so I don’t really use it much.
I left before the API fiasco because I was addicted. Had a brief, beautiful couple of months away from platforms like reddit. Now addicted to Lemmy instead.

I’ve started to feel dirty clicking on icons like some sort of peasant.
One of my favourite games of all time. I forced my friend to sit and play it one night! I can’t wait for whatever they are doing next.
I just wanted to come back to this thread and say that I was very wrong about Audacity. I hadn’t used it in years and all the qualms I had about it are gone. Its feature rich and is more than up to the task.
I also did this, this morning and it seemed to fix it. If it becomes impossible to block ads I guess we all just stop watching YouTube…?
Thank you for the advice. I hadn’t heard of cakewalk so I’ll try that out as well as Ardour. Good idea about still passing it through Audacity. I also saw on a thread about auphonic… But I think I don’t want the quality to be decided by an “AI”
As my post asked I was looking for a FOSS equivalent of adobe audition which can do both recording and editing.
This does look really good. I’ll try it out! Thanks.
The last time I used it it wasn’t easy to have two audio inputs via usb-c (I know I need a proper system but there is no budget yet!)
I believe they are saying that the skill it takes a real artist to produce art is something to envy.
The first is a surprise; the second is testing.
