This has been my thought lately as well. Donald Trump is simply a convenient means to an end. He is so ignorant and narcissistic that he will never see it coming when he is eventually given the Julius Caesar treatment by the techno-fascists.

The real oligarchy that is actually wealthy instead of pretend wealthy is chomping at the bit to get in the big chair permanently. Now that there is ample precedent with multiple assassination attempts on Donald Trump’s life, all they need to do is have him assassinated for real, declare martial law as you said, and then install their chosen dictator as the public lever puller.

They can blame this on whatever patsy is most convenient to allow them to swiftly tighten controls on an unsuspecting public. The ironic part being that in a twisted turn of fate, we may eventually end up in a situation where some of the people who got deported turn out to be the lucky ones. As Aimé Césaire warned, fascism is colonialism turned inwards, and whatnot…

So are we going with Lem-stralia, Lem-Rok Nor, or Lem-giers as our colony name?

You don’t. The answer is always, without exception, going to be violence in the long term. It is the only permanent equalizer that is able to forcibly impose large scale social reorientation. At the most basic level the social order of government systems, regardless of form, are an agreement about who controls the monopoly on the use of violence. Given where we are currently at as a culture I don’t think that bodes well for the future because we are treading a very thin line with giving inmates control of the asylum.

There’s always money to spend on profiting from human suffering in this country. If you think there won’t be a cottage industry that springs up around bounty hunting illegal immigrants if that was to become legal then you need a better imagination.

What type of punishment would you be in favor of for high level cartel members who have significant pull with prison gangs in the US?

If I put it another way. Are you okay with the type of supermax confinement that El Chapo is under at the moment as an example?

I’m asking because this is something that I personally wrestle with as I think it is a gray area within my own ethical boundaries as they relate to human rights.
