Twitter, etc isn’t Canadian but it sure does has an opinion about who the Canadian Prime Minister should be.

I dont feel good about any of these social media platforms having a stake in this propaganda. Tik Tok, Twitter, reddit, etc…it’s all the same to me.

Russia, etc will use any platform they can for this shit. It doesn’t matter where the site is based. I don’t think banning tik tok or forcing it to sell will change anything. Facebook will still be a cesspool of right ring propaganda.

The social media at home (ie Twitter, Facebook, reddit) have been manipulating all citizens into destabilizing democracy with all the right-wing propaganda and it is getting worse every day. I can go to Twitter any day of the week and see some slander in the “What’s hot” section for any democratic/liberal leader while ass licking every conservative one depending on which country you are from. And the posts are mostly made by young Russian/etc bots. The problem is it seems to be working.

It’s not just tik tok thats used for this shit. But the others are OK because they are 'MURICAN? It’s a double standard. I’m not defending tik tok, but I personally think Twitter, etc need to be sold as well.

Yeah, I still browse reddit from time to time (mostly when lemme feed is dried up or I’m at my computer. I don’t browse it for hours like I used to, though. And I haven’t made a comment that wasn’t on r/lfg for months.

Most of my feed is about Canada, makes sense, I live there. But a vast majority of it is right wing propaganda. Anti immigration, pro PeePee, anti Trudeau, etc. Every week a new right wing subreddit crops up.

Mexico has a large medical tourism industry. Mostly for dental but other things too.

You can go on a ferry and get a nice vacation in a fairly tropical area, and get your needs met medically and go home for less than it would cost in the states with insurance.

You make it sound like thats unique to the US and a foreign concept to the rest of the world.

I used to have a neighbor who was one of those massive truck, baseball cap, toxic macho men. He would often talk loudly in his driveway and keep me up at night.

He claimed his dog was a wolf hybrid. This dog was extremely aggressive and would attack children if given the chance. I NEVER saw that dog outside of the house. Being taken to walks, nothing. I only ever saw the dog through the door a couple times and every time it was the super aggressive barking. Not the normal bark, the one combined with bearing teeth, growling. Stuff from nightmares.

I don’t know it that dog was a wolf dog, apparently they are legal to keep in Canada but may be banned on a municipal level. I wouldn’t put it past a toxic macho man to own a dangerous animal, not train it to scare children away and make himself look like a “tough guy”.

No one that I know of got hurt by this dog. And the dog was isolated enough that it being a “wolf dog” was the only rumor. The guy claimed that he walked the dog super early in the morning -before anyone was out and about to avoid conflict with people and other dogs, but I never saw it.

But I never seen him interact with his dog, never let it out. Never play with it. It’s not a pet at that point. It’s a dangerous doorbell.

Isreal retaliated by attacking schools and hospitals (aka, people that had nothing to do with said attack) Isreal has been subjugating Gaza to sub-human conditions for 20+ years. The attack on the music fest isn’t justified but it is understandable.

This is nothing new and has been going on for decades. People that live in/near border towns often just zip past the border. The animal shelter in one of these towns told us they get all their animals treated in the US. Everyone I talked to in that town has said similar things about buying groceries in the US instead.

I imagine it is just becoming more common with the insane inflation, shrinkflation, etc.

I’m enjoying it for the most part, but it really, really bugs me that they keep calling the creature in legend an ogre when it’s clearly supposed to be an oni.

And I was begrudgingly accepting it, like fiiine, I know it’s localization and dumb American kids might not know what an oni is, whatever.

And it’s like pokemon actually wants to drive me insane! Because this “ogre” lives on top of Oni mountain!

As an aside, Carmine is pretty insufferable.

Coco is good but Luca is incredibly mid imo. I just feel like it’s missing some important scenes, which makes the whole thing just feel… off. And what would have made a good movie become pretty well, mid.

I’ve noticed this more and more with Pixar and Disney movies, I can just think of a bunch of scenes ranging from 1 minute to 20 depending on how you want to play it that would just complete the movie. Moana had this issue too but Moana was good without it. It would just be better imo.

But there is no a problem. There’s nothing wrong with him. Makeup “fixes” vitiligo but there’s nothing wrong with it. You should be proud of what you look like.

It doesn’t affect his quality of life or his health, it doesn’t make him deaf or anything that would be fixed by both ears being the same. All it does it make him look like a mutt and disqualifies him from any dogs shows. Which are just superfluous standards that promote actual, debilitating deformities. Look at showdog German shepherds as an example. Poor things can’t even walk because of “aesthetics”. Bulldog and flat faced dog breeds are another famous example. They can’t breathe. They can’t swim. They can’t even reproduce normally.

Your dog isn’t broken. There are no problems. And I’m afraid of any children you may have if you seriously hold views like this.

Because its adorable and there nothing wrong with him. You don’t “fix” this like you don’t “fix” heterochromia or vitiligo.
