I figured it was someone like that.
I seem to remember something similar about not registering as a foreign agent in 2016 & 2020. Funny how that keeps happening around the Trump campaign 🤔

Kinda curious. What is the illegal part? I’m aware that political actors are required to make certain declarations about money, and I would guess that’s a part of this. That being said, there’s all kinds of foreign influence on US politics, including financial. So I just wonder what’s laws were broken in this case
I had to stop listening to Serial. My mental health is not where it needs to be to hear the realities of life right now, unfortunately.
It’s a really good podcast tho
I totally agree with you
Dude! I bought 16TB HDDs for my NAS for less than $300 each. What the hell!? I was paying just over $16 per terabyte!
I’m an old fart from the 1.44MB disc days. I thought burning DVDs was cool. This is just…
I have hundreds of movies and shows. I could watch 8hrs a day for a year and not rewatch anything in my collection. It’s amazing. Rejoice in it
I can put over 100 HD movies on a drive smaller than my thumbnail, but i get what you’re saying.
I don’t really have a point, I’m just amazed that storage has advanced this far in my lifetime (80’s/90’s kid)
Dunno about first, but the top of the list is Zero Hour, as part of an Airplane! marathon
As one of nature’s pedestrians, I’ll never trust a creature that looks at me with it’s teeth. Even I could tell you those bastards are plotting something all of the time
I strongly recommend the book The Truth by Terry Pratchett. He does a send up of the press in general and there are so many puns. Like this gem:
Cut-Me-Own-Throat Dibbler, Ankh-Morpork’s most enterprisingly unsuccessful businessman, peered at William over the top of his portable sausage-cooking tray. Snowflakes hissed in the congealing fat.
William sighed. ‘You’re out late, Mr Dibbler,’ he said politely.
‘Ah, Mr Word. Times is hard in the hot sausage trade,’ said Dibbler.
‘Can’t make both ends meat, eh?’ said William. He couldn’t have stopped himself for a hundred dollars and a shipload of figs.
Ok so when I’m stressed I’m a workaholic hyperactive overwhelmed people pleaser who will slam doors, self harm, get numb, and shut down.
Not even kidding.
Really though I think it goes like this as I progress from stressed out to the breaking point. I think my M.O. is Fawn > Flight > Freeze > Fight. When I’m pushed to a certain point I explode in anger, usually directed at inanimate objects and self. I’ve been living in Fawn for several years now
Goddammit, orb is the new The Game, isn’t it?
NGL I rode the high from these two comments for like three days ♥️
You seem weirdly invested in Alec Baldwin’s well-being. I don’t think there’s anything productive left to be said about this, so I’ll wish you peace, and long life
Yeah the legal system is not a just system.
That being said, usually the prosecutorial imbalance is against the weak and powerless. In this case, a man with more power, money, and influence than most of us will ever see in a lifetime is being held responsible for cutting corners. Can you imagine if Boeing execs were actually held accountable? Or Chase/BoA/Wells Fargo et. al.? It rarely happens.
Is it unjust that the protection is selective? Yes. In the balance, I’d rather the scales be weighted against the powerful, rather than how it normally is.
They should be. Is that your point? That they should be, because I think any sane person would agree.
If you’re arguing that the responsible parties in this incident shouldn’t be prosecuted because another person is getting away with manslaughter… well that’s a bit silly isn’t it?
I can’t tell what your intentions are, because nuance is hard via text
Oh dang you’re right, I definitely remember a DF version but yes
Amazing news and you love to hear it! I’m so happy Tarn and Zach get to benefit from their passion project. TBH i haven’t played since they introduced magic. I got distracted by other things. But I 100% bought it through steam as soon as it was released, just out of appreciation
So if you’ve played Rimworld it’ll feel familiar. Much more complex but part of that complexity is because you can traverse the Z axis, and make multi-level fortresses. I don’t think Tarn has ever recoded to allow multi thread processing, so everything runs on a single CPU core (my info may be out of date). If that’s still the case At any rate, the end of every fortress (that doesn’t succumb to a mood spiral or a were-beast or an elf invasion or the circus or forgetting to pack an anvil or vampires or a cavern collapse) is fps death. Usually from cats. But remember, losing is fun!
The original comic was about the learning curve of various games. The black line represents Dwarf Fortress
The original comic was very accurate
Ehhh, I’ve seen too many “this violates decorum and tradition but not any actual laws” since 2016 to have confidence in laws and morals intersecting in a meaningful way
