Apparently there was a trademark problem with WALLSTREETBETS at one point. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/business/digital/reddit-sued-wallstreetbets-trademark-settlement-1235327626
You created this server?
This has been going on for 16 years? I thought it was started in the mid or late 2010s.
Wait, you need to post every day to get the achievement?
So when did it become public knowledge? When the Google is broken controversy started?
Seems like the Bats community here on Lemmy.world was popular due to some new posts every day.
Seems like someone closed your account without your permission.
Strange. What happened to the discouragement of AMP links and why are they suddenly popping up now?
So why doesn’t a random follower posting a link on Mastodon cause server load issues, but a popular follower does?
Looks like it might be cool to have.
What’s up with the pronoun thing? Why is gender suddenly replaced with saying they/them?
I’m pretty sure that trademarks were invented so companies could prevent confusion like this by using the legal system. That way no-one can try profiting off a similar branding, and no-one can harm their reputation by making poor products apparently in another company’s name. W3C has a trademark registration for their name. https://www.w3.org/trademarks/
Is OpenAI a regular business too?
So it’s a regular business now?
Why is it called “OpenSubtitles” if you have to pay for it to use it in any capacity?
When I booted into Windows 8.1 on my 2016 desktop computer, it immediately destroyed my boot loader for Ubuntu making it impossible to boot. I can’t confirm if it was BIOS or UEFI though. I had to use a convoluted technique to restore the boot loader for it to load Ubuntu afterwards each time I ran Windows.
They shouldn’t force you to use a specific web browser to use the website properly. Google Chrome shouldn’t be the new Internet Explorer 6.
There’s like an ad every paragraph or two on sites like these. Then apparently that’s not enough so they have auto-playing video ads and pop-up ads too. Do they seriously think people will tolerate this and not go off the website?
Maybe they’re trying to become the new Internet Explorer?
