9 months agoOkay, thank you. Anyway: is here somebody who actually knows WHY this happened? What was the underlying cause for our ansestors to start using it? What were they trying to achieve or solve? (UNINTENTIONALLY, okay, we got it.)

2·10 months agoOh, a D6x0. 620 was my first ever company laptop! I loved it. Easily swappable cd-rom, you could change it to an additional 4cell battery. Combined with a 9 cell one it lasted basically the whole work day.

The main mods and a whole lot of people came here.

1·10 months agoIt cannot notify you, you have to check it manually, but: I use DaRemote on my phone to periodically check my bare metal.
8·10 months agoThe whole thing has degrees. I very much like to help my mother to update her browser. I really don’t want to help choosing a printer to my cousin’s second brother’s wife AND install it during Christmas when we are home and I want to just chill with my close family.
Yeah. The problem is that even inside IT I cannot really change because I’ll be the junior immediately and they’ll offer half my current salary in a new place. The more applies to a complete switch. I have a mortgage, a child, a car, some expensive hobbies, and some goes to savings. I have a certain lifestyle. I simply cannot afford to lose any of my current income.
But I really hope some day I’ll have enough in savings to make the switch.
Gotcha. The problem was that it took me to a general Wikipedia page of “Did you think of…” because the trailing bracket gets cut. Either because of Sync or Firefox, I don’t know. I have that problem since forever. And the general page don’t preserve the section link.
