I have a cigarette lighter-USB adapter already plugged in.

I bought a $10 Bluetooth adapter that plugs into the cigarette lighter hole and then an aux cord in our 2010 vehicle. It works significantly more reliably than our other, 2020 vehicle with built-in Bluetooth, touchscreen and all the bells-and-whistles. Seriously, I turn my 2010 car on, “successful connection” every time within seconds. The 2020, I inevitably get failed connections. I don’t think my phone has connected to it first try, once. And then sometimes it fails to connect either the audio or the phone calls. Or, I get it connected and my wife gets to the car with her phone and suddenly my Bluetooth connection is gone and we’re listening to her phone. It’s just infuriating.

Yes, there’s something about a live performance that can’t exactly be reproduced jamming with yourself in your bedroom, but that doesn’t mean that great music can’t come out of both processes.

The reason we don’t get any more Led Zeppelins or Pink Floyds or whichever brand of classic rock he worships at the altar of isn’t because there aren’t talented musicians making music. It’s because the circumstances that those artists thrived under no longer exist, and likely never will again.

I moved to a smaller city in South Korea in 2004 to teach English. A short while after I got there, I met a couple who were from a small town down the road from the small town I grew up in in Eastern Canada. Apparently we even went to the same small university (3000 students total) together and I somehow managed to never see them there.

I have blown so many hours on Towers.

Playing through Baldur’s Gate 3 now, and I see what they did. It’s sex up front. Within the first couple of hours you’re boinking your interest. It’s not until act III - potentially dozens of hours later - when you get to the actual romance part of the relationship. It’s an interesting take. At least with the couple of romance plots I’ve seen.

I just wish more people would talk about her music instead of her gender. I know she’s bitter or dissatisfied about Switched on Bach, but I still listen to it regularly. There aren’t many pieces of instrumental music that can actually make me laugh, but it does. Bach works on synth so well. Largely due to Carlos’ efforts.

Definitely. I’m currently living the dream. Four day work week with about twenty hours a week actual work. My wife and I own and run the place, so no overseers. I have enough money and free time to indulge hobbies, spend a lot of time with my daughter, and hit the gym five times a week. I’m probably the happiest, middle-aged person I know.

I know it’s a bit of a silly example, but in the public school in Korea where I taught for a while, teachers would write their Windows passwords on post-its and stick them to the monitors. Haha!
