While true, it’s good to have some hope now and then, too. We don’t want people getting too depressed, either.

I’m guessing you haven’t noticed the suppression of protests and complete ignoring of their demands up until now? Talk about divorced from reality.
It’ll be the same under both, just Trump might try to use the military instead of just cops and SWAT to fight the protestors. Either way, we have to fight against a militarized police state determined to aid a Nazi ethnostate complete a genocide.
The way these people salivate over Trump hurting people who vote for Stein, I think they’re all bloodthirsty enough to want genocide. But keeping fighting the good fight. Just know that if Harris wins, we’ll keep having to pressure her after the election just as if she was Trump, and probably without the help of the rest of these liberals as they go back to brunch and wanting to ignore politics.
EDIT: I’m not voting for Stein myself but I see why people are, and I think their existence is overall good, because it keeps you all and the people in power from getting too comfortable with the fact that we’re doing a genocide.
They killed children in that pager attack. Which I guess is part for the course, so ya, nevermind, you might be right.
All 3 are pretty active, although the bottom one is a bot community hat automatically finds rising and popular communities in the fediverse. The top two are similar, but one seems to be about just generally bringing attention to communities people want more users in (community promo), and the other is about advertising newly created or revived communities (new communities).
I personally subscribe to all 3, but I’m always trying to find new communities to add to my home feed. I prefer using that over All or Local.
The Israel technique
Long enough they can make sad movies about it.
Might depend on the app you use.
Oh ya, for sure, but at least check out that site for the different communities you can subscribe to (the equivalent of subreddits here).
I also use these communities to find other ones: !communitypromo@lemmy.ca !newcommunities@lemmy.world !trendingcommunities@feddit.nl
I think my favorite right now is Scaled Sort. It helps give my smaller communities more visibility.
Yay! The megathread is here! And a wiki!
Ya I use different accounts on Lemmy to customize my home feed right now since Lemmy doesn’t have a multi reddit-like feature yet. Also, every now and then an instance goes down, had technical problems, or people randomly decide to defederate with it. That person’s advice is pretty good. I mostly stick with this account now, but I feel better knowing I have a backup lol.
Welcome! Have you found the Lemmyverse Explorer? It’s a great way to find communities to join, and other instances in case you want to make a backup account.
Sounds like our country and our two party system lol. Mexico was ruled by the same party for decades and got out, though, so maybe there’s hope for Japan.
Trump pulled out of the Iran nuclear deal for basically no reason and assassinated a beloved political figure. I doubt they care about Russia more than they hate Trump.
You guys not have fraternities over there? Because that’s a place where a bunch of friends live together in uni lol
Lemmy better than Reddit
