Sure. Except those on the Left won’t. Couple reasons:

1. Can’t agree on a reason.

2. Won’t agree on a where and when.

3. Will disagree whether it’s worth it right now.

Oh yes absolutely, I agree that environmental factors play a role, and that role varies in intensity and direction. Looking at what limited historical evidence I know offhand it appears that the female form has been more consistently sought after. Of course, this could be due to the fact that my historical context are the Romans, Greek, parts of indo-asia, and a sprinkling of Japan. So a rather wide swath of places like South America and Africa aren’t really known.

I don’t have enough knowledge. It just seems from what I do know that there is some significant focus on this, or maybe just less focus on males in general.

This is interesting. Bear with me, it’s 2am, I’m overtired, and this is purely for discussion. Also, this caught the attention of my adhd, so if I try to ignore it I probably won’t sleep at all. Anyway, I wonder if it has some basis on how sexuality is represented in the brain in gay men vs gay women. I’m reasoning this because, well…

1. Lesbians: Like the boobas and butts of other women. According to reports women also tend to swing more loosely with their sexuality.

2. Straight Women: Even women who identify as straight can be attracted to other women sexually, just not intimately. They like to also look.

3. Gay Men: From my experience in life, on Reddit, and here on Lemmy, gay men tend to lack similar appreciation for women. Predictably they find other men to be all the rage. There seems to be a more stringent sexual and intimate preference.

4. Straight Men: Yet while straight men like the ladies, we also now know a larger population of males tend toward bisexual curiosity. We are also aware of the sexual repression still prevalent, though arguably less so than ever before.

So what am I getting to? Well, I believe that either gender has a genetic disposition towards the feminine form. On the same tree, both genders tend to enjoy the male form on the same level less. Could this be linked to some ancient survival mechanism a la reproduction? Why does it appear that the woman body is more popular with three of the four major categories and yet to gay men more often completely unremarkable?

I dunno, my brain is yelling at me to sleep. Could anyone add anything? I’m mostly curious and promise I’m not attempting to head in some unknown terrible conclusion someone is bound to try and rope it all into.

You can tell I’ve had some interesting responses from people on some subjects.

For all those that want to complain:

Go ahead and do something about it. Otherwise, swallow your catharsis for a moment and recognize that small and consistent steps yield the changes we need, and that there will be setbacks.

The trick then becomes dedication. Something, I should point out, we in the U.S. are really bad at.

I am somehow extremely disappointed that people who support this obviously corrupt and evil little man also have talents like art, and music, and probably others.

Man, 10 years ago I was in the middle leaning Left. Now I am so far left most ideas from the Right feel atrocious. I mean, they are…you know what I mean though.

1. You refuse to believe any news outlet or story.
2. You refuse to share one you do trust, stating you trust none of them.
3. You refuse to do your own research. ANY research.
4. During all of this you find excuses and pull people into bad faith arguments.

Right then.

So you won’t accept the research done by others and won’t do it on your own.

Okay, so go do some research on your own and get back to us.

Taking into account censorship laws and the cultural significance of the game, I’d say China is likely causing this game to tremendously outperform vs expected metrics. So here’s what I’d like to know:

1. Total cost of the game in China against other common costs. Is it affordable?
2. Has China raised the limitations on time played per day for this game? (that I believe exists)
3. Did the Chinese government help fund ways for this game to reach a wider population? Possibly through a deal to maintain the game’s strong cultural identity?
4. Is it actually a good game?

Answer: Yes, though different in execution than people expected. The reviewers I trust give it a Buy Now IF your system can handle it. Sounds like it’s, excuse me, a beast to run.

You’re expecting things to never change, or if they do it’ll be for the worst. I can’t blame you for that. Thing is, there has already been change for the better. This is why we are still here and still fighting. Why we still have hope. If all those just like you joined us, imagine what we could do. All you’d have to do is expend some effort - the very same energy being used to express hate, dislike, and skepticism.

Joined Aug. 22nd, 2024. First post was expressing desire to be a moderator in a communism sub. Expresses support for nations like China specifically when in relation to Taiwan. Supports other odd situations and events. Has a name “JohnBrown”. If it wasn’t for the fact that you’re so unlikeable, I’d make an argument that you’re a plant to try and twist narratives and convince communities of certain ideologies.

No, we aren’t. We’re hoping. Which, much as you might dislike it, is a huge reason why we fight.

That little clicker in the brain that goes off when you’ve had enough doesn’t really work for me. I have to feel physically full or I still feel hungry. Even worse, my dopamine levels are garbage and eating makes me feel good.

Good old Tasker should be able to handle the bulk of automating things like an auto-shutdown. Might still need to insert custom code BUT they have a community. A couple searches and verification that you’re not being a dumbass and downloading something malicious and wham bam easy - or manually type it out. I dunno. Don’t be big dumb.

AND THEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN with a brand new card within 30 days. Likely the shitty auto update service large organizations can subscribe to, or I got unlucky on a brute force attempt. Either way, a CC will save you this hassle.
