Schrödinger was scared of his own results, that’s what his cat is for. Not to show some profound effect about wave function collapse, but to show how the wave function must collapse (despite his calculations showing otherwise) because if the wave function doesn’t collapse, the cat is simultaneously alive and dead, which is preposterous.
However, we now know quantum entanglement to be a real thing; so, as bizzare as it sounds, the cat is both alive and dead, always. The number of timelines containing an alive cat diminish over time until eventually, dead cat is the only possible outcome. This is strong evidence for a multiverse existence. When you open the box you simply discover which universe you’re in.
Pretty much! I manage a SaaS product for our company and the company that makes our product has basically offshored their entire support team. Tier 1 and 2 support went to India, and the customer service reps that we collab with weekly went to Colombia.
Development is still done in my home country, but barely, and I’m sure its just a matter of time until that leaves here also.
Corporations single only motive is to produce more and more profit.
Most of us don’t have clusters so shutting down the server means taking the server and all associated services completely offline.
Do you take your product completely offline for 8 hours every single day?
Bruh fr. I got a 200 pack back in 2012 and I still have like 60 blades left lol.
My man just reinvented free software.
Plus people would go to work on a Tuesday but come home on Wednesday. Lol it would be an accounting nightmare.
“Well the books for this company closed on the 1st, but the books for this other department within the company closed on the 2nd”.
No. Not only no, but fuck no.
I was forced to adapt for survival but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t a struggle. Also I didn’t do “fine” in school, though that’s the front I put up. In reality I barely graduated high school and scraped by with like a 1.8 GPA, couldn’t get into college, and got kicked out of community college. And I hurt a lot of people I cared deeply about along the way too.
He lost the election. Twice, actually. He’s never won the popular vote. He was only the president because of a broken system.
BG3 is completely playable with a controller though. Yes, kbm is better here, but I’ve played 2 entire campaigns on my deck and it was fine. The radials can be kind of annoying but you can customize them so it’s not so bad. You can tell Larian put a lot of work into making a good controller experience, while Solasta: Crown of the Magister (for example) promised controller support but it plays like ass with one.
Yeah I was surprised they were so cheap. That’s not $2 each, that’s $2 total lol. They were like 1.25 each or something. I’ve played TW2 and 3 and I really liked both of them, but I’ve heard TW1 feels really dated at this point; though really I’m just playing it to round out the series.
Not patient gaming related but I have started GoT. Its amazingly well optimized on my Steam Deck. I’m kind of blown away on how well it runs, though I’ve only been playing for two hours. Sometimes the game can fall apart at the end optimization wise, like Baldurs Gate 3.
For a long time I only played World of Warcraft, (I’m clean now) so I don’t have a lot of experience with Sony. I think the last Sony games I played were the OG COD:MW2 and some of the first Ratchet and Clank games, but I’ve seen they get a lot of hate. Why is that? I did play the 2018 God of War last year and its one of my favorites.
They are technically, but not actually adults.
Congrats! Those games are lots of fun.
Some of the dialog is different but the bulk of the game plays out the same. Also Pippin and Blossoms kid keeps growing up. At the end of the second game though you get to beat Twinrova and Ganon.
Gen X isnt much better tbh. They grew up during the golden age of the boomer era where society had not started to breakdown yet. Some of them may have progressive views, but I bet it won’t be until millenials are in charge that we start to see meaningful change. Gen Z will really get into progressivism I bet.
