This issue with glibc should have been sorted out. But yeah, if you use arch you may have some issues from time to time cause some projects broke their ABIs sometimes, but I prefer to use the one with pacman cause I only have to update my entire system with one command, also theming is an issue with flatpak that I know there is solutions out there but AFAIK are always adhoc solutions for each app.

Also, IIRC steam folder is always in a weird place using flatpak.

With EFI you can even install windows after Linux and it will not mess with your systemctl boot. Windows will only put its bootloader in the EFI partition and systemctlboot will continue working. My girlfriend made this and I lost my jaw.

Yeah, but you can also run as a windows user and be happy. I have my moments of “from scratch” guy, but sometimes I just throw all away and reinstall (or install another) my distro when I feel the issue is too obscure and should not be occurring. A lot of ppl judge me but I’m using only Linux for the past 3 years and I’m happy as fuck with it. Even liking problem solving sometimes I just want to open a game and run, and yeah, I can do it in the exactly same lazy way of windows.

I prefer windows than Mac. At least windows and Linux UIs use some kind of similar pattern. Mac is too expensive and much more close than windows.

With AMD it seemed like every driver update broke something or caused random crashes.

In my entire life was the opposite, on release, AMD drivers are dog water, once they get it stable, you could use your VC for your entire life using the latest driver. On windows I had to force the the usage of an earlier driver cause new drivers always reduces the performance of my gtx750ti. Also had a friend with similar issues on a 1060. First time I heard it about AMD, but I know that some ppl got unlucky

Firefox is so bad that even my chromium start to spawn multiple threads, this is probably because firefox is installed with mozilla malwares because everyone knows that a good browser uses only one process and one thread /s.

100% this, I had to clear my firefox for a while and then I was trying to install all extensions again and could not find this bloody extension, I got literally a month to find it again and discovered that was not working cause youtube cannot stop changing it’s UI, imagine my happiness.
When you install it you never use youtube controls again, just the extension.
