Sounds like a lot not reported were various sexual assault crimes. Make sense they wouldn’t report them since the Christian church doesn’t view women as people so to them there was no crime. Pathetic.

If I had to guess it would be the amount of engagement. I love Lemmy but I still use reddit for some communities that just aren’t popular here.

People like her being elected is why it is important to vote for sane candidates all the way down the ballot. Even in smaller off year elections (ex. no federal offices on the ballot).

Started playing Minecraft again, some FC 24 and various racing games (GT7 and ACC mostly with some Wreckfest thrown in).

Generally I just start playing. If the game keeps my attention and I keep playing at some point all the various character abilities, what is valuable or not and managing items just clicks. And some days I just don’t feel like figuring stuff out so I play games I am familiar with.

Some Super Mario Wonder, GT7 and I just started Horizon Forbidden West. Probably those along with my usual FC 24 and MLB The Show. Those last two are great for a quick 15 minute session.

Voting straight Democrat. The republican party is the biggest threat to the US right now.

There was an NFL commentator named Jimmy the Greek who said something like “they are bred to be a better athlete” on air. He was fired shortly thereafter. Can’t remember when it happened though, maybe the mid 1980’s. Not sure if he himself was racist or if he was just saying what popped into his head.

Had something like that happen to a local dev database (thankfully). A dev next me blurts out “how to I rollback an update in SQL server”? He was used to Oracle and how easy it is to rollback something. Had to explain that commit just happens in SQL server regardless of whether or not you put that commit line in.
