i know they’re talking about sources of air pollution , but deforestation also is a big part of the equation and is also related to said farming on a global scale.
In the documentary Coded Bias, the police in England were utilizing new AI facial recognition technology to find criminals on the streets and yes they were almost all black. The documentary states that it is because the models were trained on mostly white people so it couldn’t differentiate black peoples features as well. Or something to that affect.
same.
same problem different industry. if its not drilling for oil and destroying the environment (as we know it) it’s outsourcing labor and mining to third world countries to exploit their land, resources and workforce. destroy others ability to utilize their own land for their community resource production while pushing them further into poverty and “welfare”. and killing anyone who tries to get in the way or is willing to work on systems that benefit their community by shielding it from neoliberal capitalist multinational corporations.
make good food and eat it.
you’re all amazing! thank you and keep up the good work!
i got covid and thought it was allergies. i didn’t believe it so i took the test twice…both positive, although i felt fine, just had an itchy nose. my ex boss got covid and was hospitalized and said it felt like an elephant was on his chest. crazy how different the responses can be from person to person.
I wore the crap out of my pair of New Balance skate shoes, forgot the model. But they’re still going strong. Ive biked with cages, walked, work construction, whatever, they’re just dirty but they’re still holding up.
Can you bring a canister cook stove? something like a Jetboil? that way no need for a whole fire etc. you can boil water etc, cook basic stuff like ramen etc. make coffee…Hardy veggies should be good, beef jerky, cured meats like salami etc. dried fruits and nuts, bread, crackers etc. regular fruit, granola bars…i would just bring a little burner thing if you can it will be so much nicer than only eating cold foods etc.
elon coming for your copyright infringement!
it uses true gps from my understanding, not cell service triangulation
I mean propaganda is a helluva drug. Remember “Got Milk” or “Beef, its whats for dinner” What about the “food pyramid” they teach you in elementary school. all of it is propaganda for industrial producers. so we know it is possible to influence the masses to consume in a certain direction. it just needs to be going in the correct direction. which will take alot of time because how much is already so heavily invested into getting their industry to where it is today.
but when you dont regulate corporations they will exploit and destroy anything and everything to monopolize and capitalize to the fullest extent. its not that the consumption of meat is bad, from a responsible regenerative agroforestry standpoint raising animals can help your regenerative agriculture system. it is monoculture and monopolization of the industry, pushing out responsible small scale community providers etc. that produce in a more ecologically responsible way. not to negate that populations consuming a lot of meat daily do end up becoming a market for irresponsible producers that “need to keep up with demand” to continually profit.
Im beginning to use lemmy more and more and preferring it over reddit. Its much better, conversationally and without the suggested Jesus and Army and Navy ads etc. However my usage is still similar to reddit, ie scrolling and reading alot of things and memes etc. But the conversational interactions seem alot more productive, i like that.
