Aside from the accurate list you posted, I felt similarities as well with hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy.

I did read the first one and liked it a lot, I wanted to continue the series but other stuff gets in the way and recently I’ve been more into gaming than reading 😭
Believe it or not, I’ve read the books and saw all the movies, but was a franchise for which my love decreased as it evolved. So not a huge fan at the end, but the game was not very punishing for knowing or not a lot of lore.
Regardless, the game itself is greatly done in some parts and some others were left without any love. I won’t go into spoilers. The graphics are incredible for being on the switch, and the beginning of the game and mostly the castle are amazingly done with a lot of details and love. You can definitely feel to be a student in hogwarts and it’s great. There are some beasts to interact to, which was also interesting and I had some fun with those mechanics.
The main problem is that at some point most of the missions are outside the castle (which is just land half empty with repetitive areas), which breaks the immersion of the hogwarts-life built in the castle. Partly because of that, some of the story and side missions don’t make a lot of sense to me, which was a bit of a disappointment, mostly towards the end (I think I felt the same about the books/movies 🤔).
I finished Hogwarts legacy, which was a “meh” 6/10 by my taste.
Now I’m playing Dave the Diver and I’m enjoying it a lot, definitely is more than meets the eyes… and the cinematic videos are great 😅🐠
Prepare for a hardcore zelda-like game with Tunic. I couldn’t finish it for the life of me, too frustrating even though I kinda got through 70% of it
Thanks for the link. Not a bad price considering it’s lego+nintendo, may do the trick as xmas present for my partner.
Although now that I dived into the lego website I’m in love with the retro NES tv with mario, which is way too expensive 😅😭
Shotgun king has a “throne mode” where you need to pass 12 levels on a row to get some sort of ending. But to be honest it does not have a lot of story, so you can count it as endless run as well. It’s more the way of playing, where each level you pass you get to choose two random modifiers (good and bad) for the following level.
You also get additional weapons and modifiers each time you get to the ending and we haven’t yet seen all, so it has reply value and maybe an extra ending 🤷♀️
I’ve just finished Ghost trick this week (I can recommend it if you are hesitant). 😎
Right now I’m few hours into Sea of stars, beautiful looking game, reminds me to golden sun a lot, hope it continues at this level.
When I get a break my partner steals the Switch and plays Shotgun king… I think he got very addicted to that one, if there would be a mobile phone version I’d definitely buy it for him 😄
I’ll keep it in my radar, looks promising
If you played west of loathing, this is pretty similar, but set in the 1920s. Absurd RPG both, I love them.
Has DQ12 already estimated date or something? I know DQ11 had some sort of spin off game on one of the main characters, but it did not pick my interest enough, so I haven’t played it
Shadows over loathing. I’m already with the nostalgia feeling that may end it up soon and don’t want to 😅
I’ve played that Dragon Quest few years ago and liked it a lot, hope you enjoy it :)
Looks nice, even though I’m not very keen on announcements without an estimated date
YES to this
Also sad to say this, but better folder system would make me happy on top of that
or Nintendo Switch Advance
I have a ton of different Nintendo consoles and lots of gameboy color cartridges for that reason. Good thing I collected them like 8 years ago because they are stupid expensive now
