Go into any post on hexbear and youll see tons of examples of them disagreeing WITH EACHOTHER. they commonly have huge arguments in the comments and as long as everyone is civil and not arguing in bad faith noone gets banned and noone gets urt feelings. Steam deck. Not as cheap as an ambernic or raspberry pi, but I’ve been blown away by how painless and plug and play everything is, and I’ve played games on it from every console generation up to ps3 so far, plus modern pc games. Steaminput makes controller settings a breeze even for games or applications that don’t have good input settings. I knew I’d like it before I got one last year, but since then I can’t say enough good things about it, it’s honestly everything I dreamed of as a kid playing video games, almost every game under the sun all in one handheld package, it’s honestly incredible.

Steam deck. I’ve been floored by how great it is, and with a dock it’s easy to set up with multiple controllers or a mouse and keyboard. Literally all the benefits of a (handheld) console, and all the benefits of a PC, including the ability to play a huge backlog of old console games.

I mean the way I’ve seen it in a lot of grocery stores is there is a separate, often walk in cooler for single cans/small cases of imports or more specialty beers, and then an aisle with big cases of the common beers that arent cold. I’ve also seen a store where half the aisle was stand up refrigerated shelves and half was unrefridgerated for the bigger cases, which I assume is happening here.

Except you’ve already had 5 hours of your body metabolizing caffeine, so the effects of the remaining half a dose after 5 hours aren’t nearly the same as if you took that half a dose after a night’s sleep and not having had any. Your body becomes accustomed to it. That’s how all drugs work. You can take 6 grams of mushrooms and it’ll definitely still be in your system after 6 hours, but the effects won’t be the same as taking 3 grams straight up, it will have almost entirely worn off despite the residual psilocybin in your body.

Just buy an air mouse for $20 and you don’t have to get up to change episodes. Doesn’t help with having to unplug it from the hdmi all the time but that’s less of a hassle if you can just do it once when you start watching and then control everything from the couch.

Yep. I’ve been so incredibly pleasantly surprised by my steamdeck. Gaming mode works so flawlessly, I haven’t had any problems getting any non steam games to run. Switching to desktop mode is so fast and even when there’s like 8Gb of os and app updates it’s done in minutes and the package manager is actually verbose and tells you exactly what it’s doing and how long it expects to take unlike windows updates. I can’t imagine dealing with windows on a handheld, especially once windows 10 goes EOL. I’m actually gearing up to switch my desktop over to Linux since I’ve been so pleased with gaming on the deck. People say windows “just works” but I’ve had way more issues with windows over the years than I have with my steamdeck so far.
