If you don’t have an Apple or Samsung device, the options are pretty limited or non-existent for accessories. In my experience, it’s been much easier to find a case that adds magnets than any other sort of accessory for my last 2 phones.

To me, the benefit of the magnetic back is that they are usable by any device with magnets. If I upgrade to a new phone next year, I don’t have to buy all new accessories.

Also, I have a magnet-attach charging bank for my phone, but it has a cable built in. That way I get decent charging speed without the efficiency and heat problems, and I can take it off the device when I don’t need it.

My guess would be that it’s intended to replace chrome os, which is already just android lite.

Something I’ll never understand about Google is that they don’t seem to understand that killing every project that isn’t instantly super profitable also kills consumer confidence.

Unfortunately paypal tends to shoot first and ask questions never, so it affects more than just bad actors. For example, my mom had her account frozen after someone scammed her on an ebay sale- they returned the item for money back but sent an empty box. When she reported it, paypal froze ALL of her funds and defended the scammer. Years later, she’s still out a couple hundred bucks.

They’re also notorious for randomly freezing funds and leaving users with no recourse.

FWIW, Linkedin has reasonably extensive notification settings with toggles for both email and push. I get almost no emails from them except when I accidentally turn on alerts from a new job search.

The only legitimate takedown I can see is is the non-commercial clause. If YouTube is making money off streams, wouldn’t that be a license violation?
