The population density of Gaza as a whole is roughly one-tenth of Mosul and yet the civilian deaths accounted for the same effort are significantly less in Gaza as compared with the 2017 capture of the Mosul. I am not sure why anyone on earth is expecting the IDF to magically do better than the world’s largest coalition in history in OIR. Urban combat sucks for everyone involved.

Ukraine could lose all their territory and Russia will still lose this war. They already have.

The Russians have lost several times now than the population of Avdivka trying to take it. Ukraine shifted to an attritional fight to preserve combat power until they could dismantle Russian fires capabilities which they’ve been doing quite effectively. If they want to win the war with all their objectives, this is exactly how Ukraine does it. Killing Russians is the best way to get them to leave. Never forget that

They stopped and presented most of their combat power when it looked like it was going to be a waste like Russia’s recent offensives. They shifted to an attritional fight. You are right in line with the Russian narrative though.

The American military can be open minded. We’re just so accustomed to being let down. I have a lot of respect for the French artillery units and Singaporean intelligence among others. I know people scoff at the idea that we are team players but we really are when everyone is working towards the same strategic objective.
Though they cannot take land, the Ukrainians are only getting better at dismantling Russian fires capabilities and eliminating enemy units. They are learning too and they are learning where it counts in an attritional fight. War is politics and this conflict will become politically untenable for Russia far earlier than it will for Ukraine.
It’s very difficult to hide said programs on their whole these days but it is relatively easy to obscure the details and intent behind them.
Don’t misrepresent their narrative. They never said it was a special military operation or anything short of a war. They were very clear that they were decorating war on Hamas and anything short of a complete Hamas surrender was inadequate. They have not decorated from this.
That’s called a private plane these days and it costs the equivalent.
I think the MIC holds less pull than people think. Lobbying also doesn’t work like most people think. It’s more like targeted PR.
Perhaps now folks can see why we were judging European nations so hard for failing to keep up with their NATO obligations. It’s a lot more expensive in the end and less effective to be trying to stand up production now.

We need sustained and modern shell production moving into the future, not only to replenish current stocks and supply Ukraine now, but to ensure scalable production in future conflicts.
Idiots like them suddenly have a reason to get involved in your life for all the reasons above. Suddenly you are in discussions regarding tobacco and other drugs costing everyone money. You don’t exercise? That means you are less of a citizen. This is very much why this would not be a good federal program.
Largely, however every military conflict includes war crimes at some level on all sides if the factions are large enough. This is countered by a process of military justice in which is just as hard to overcome the burden of proof as criminal law is within the United States judicial system.
Anyone who makes universal claims for or against one side in a conflict and does not caveat with an understanding of how imperfect any justice system is would be a sign that they are simple propaganda.
You can make ethical distinctions between factions in the application of military justice internally, how complicit command decisions are in war crimes committed, and most importantly by not lumping politicians, military, and random citizens together in their actions and narratives. When I speak of actions and war crimes(especially in terms of genocide), I refer solely to the IDF. There are many unethical hotshot politicians out there. There is no separating President Putin from policies in Ukraine though so you can make a distinction there easily.
My interest is in the correct classification of war crimes to ensure they are less likely to happen. I have met very few people in this community who understand what war crimes are and how they differ from general warfare. If all warfare constitutes war crimes, then war crimes have no meaning and you enable them to happen.

Putin’s actions have not been found to be genocide by anyone reputable. I can say that while being vehemently against the invasion and all it stands for and additionally supporting Ukraine in every capacity.
Words matter. They are important to understand.
You have not gotten me in any logical inconsistency despite thinking you have. Genocide is an important concept to understand so you do not water it down when it actually happens. If every action in war is considered a war crime, no actions are war crimes and people will not believe your claims when you make them.
