  • No, I don’t think you understand it fully. That’s what the legal minorities and children are for. Ask rural folk over 60 if they had a job as a child and you’ll got a Lt of answers like “I worked picking tomatoes when I was 10.”

The rich get to go to private school, the poor get to sell their children off to robber barons. You would not believe how many parents out there are eager for this too. A good portion of the GOP are abusers that dont really care about their children and if they can force their children to go out and get a job so they can take their paychecks, they will.

That’s why they are pro-birth and anti-education. This is why we still dont have year-round schooling because “traditionalists” want to be able to make use of child labor.

If you dont think it is coming, almost every red state has attemptdd to repeal their states child labor laws for agricultural and factory work.

  • OH WOW! That’s such a weird coincidence! Imagine the odds of that! /s

Of course they did. The thing is the way the law is written violates the Constitution by promoting an ideologically-loaded, outdated translation of the Bible used by more socially extreme groups.

    • NRSV(UE) is the gold standard nowadays.
    • Leather cover? Why? What’s the point?
    • The Founding Documents to the United States do not belong in a Bible. Not everything has to be tarnished with crass “Patriotic” grift.
    • Just the Bill of Rights? The Amendments to the Constitution are legally part of the Constitution. What are they not included? Is there something in those Amendments they don’t feel is appropriate?
    • This Bible has consistent poor reviews on Youtube. A number of Bible collectors, theologians, pastors, etc have panned this book for being cheaply and poorly made. It has poor print quality, it’s pages stick together, are thin, and rip easy.

It should be obvious to anyone this is an ideological grift and it is criminal graft too. These criminals need to be thrown in prison for this.

  • Things are weird too under Gnome rn. Check this out:

I genuinely don’t know how to fix this one. It just started doing that one day and it doesn’t matter if i use or dash-to-dock, dash-to-panel, etc. The spacebar extension wants to plop it right before the menu. It’s mildly infuriating. I really, really wish Gnome would just let us configure the panels more similar to Plasma or Latte-Dock. I don’t want to switch to KDE Plasma because I don’t like most QT apps and honestly Breeze doesn’t look good as libadwaita. Custom themes are super inconsistent in Plasma and it drives me a bit nuts. Tho, I heard the KDE team proposed a solution that might make things better in the next couple versions.

If I ended up on Plasma I’d have to exclude the majority of KDEs and add their Gnome equivalents XD

    I wonder if that would work… 🤔

That’s the entire Right. You cannot win them on the grounds of good-faith, truthfulness, or humanity because their politics is solely about power. Conservative politics are the politics of abusers—litterally everything they wish to “conserve” within society includimg “tradition” is their freedom and ability to abuse. That’s it:

Family values is not about creating healthy families, it is about patriarchy and the right of the parents to abuse their children.

Defending the sanctity of marriage is about defining LGBTQ people out of legal rights and entitlements.

School choice is about controlling what ideas not just their children are exposed to but their neighbors as well.

    Etc. Etc.

Every conservative position is a bad faith push to further their ability to control the lives others and their ideas deserve neither respect nor a platform.

  • The US is continuing to engage in genocide by acting as the world’s largest weapons supplier to supremacist nation-states (technically all nation-states as supremacist by definition) such as Israel. The US continues to impoverish it’s own people on top of that and murders tens of thousands of people every year through refusing to implement healthcare alone. All total, hundreds of thousands of people die every year due to poverty in the US, mostly minorities.

This is the same government that also knowingly puts poisons such as lead in our water, see any of the numerous small towns in Appalachia where water is undrinkable; Flint, MI; or Jackson, MS—the latter being a capital of a state.

Yes, the US is a dictatorship. Our elections are a farce. Any attempt at making things better through the electoral system is impossible because it was literally designed from the ground up to be a compromised system where the national oligarchy has the final say. It would take a revolution and the abolition of the US state to fix any of those long-standing problems which are built-in to the system.

As for the ethnic cleansing of minorities—Indian Reservations still exist and when measured are some of the poorest nations, states, and municipalities on the planet. They are literally designed to keep people down by keeping them poor and unhealthy. I’ve been to a lot of places, and few places are people more miserable. The neglect from the US government to fix these communities combined with the still continuing violation of treaties at the behest of US-based corporations are an ongoing genocide on a similar scale (if not distributed) as was is seen in China.

Let’s not pretend the US has any moral authority on the matter here.

  • Rothbard is the reason we associate Libertarianism with the Right. He’s the one that suggested calling themselves Libertarians and Anarcho-Capitalists. Before him, Libertarianism was a Socialist thing and had little to do with Capitalism.

Basically, modern Libertarians stole the term from the Left to re-brand themselves as something they weren’t and to create this guise of pretending to care about people’s liberty and freedom—which they also don’t because Rothbard supported and advised Fascists and had no problem with slavery or indentured servitude.

The Right loves to steal and re-define terms used on the left.
